Rev. Shelly Dvorak, LMFT

I have over 20 years of experience working with children and youth in a pastoral role within the military community. I graduated with a bachelor's of pastoral ministry from Lee University and a master's of marriage and family therapy from Regent University. I also have extensive experience working with neurodiverse children including those living with autism and ADHD.
While I chose not to seek certification, I completed a two-year internship and residency in clinical chaplaincy at the University of Kansas Medical Center. I spent time working with children in the Kansas foster care system in an advocacy role. I have also received EMDR training at the basic 1 & 2 levels as well as specialty training in use with the neurodiverse population.
My work and experiences within the military community, those living with various special needs, and the grief and trauma work of hospital chaplaincy and foster care have gifted me with a deep love and compassion people. I enjoy adapting skills and interventions to the needs of my clients as I get to know them.
